The highlight of your day at Discovery Cove Orlando will be a rare opportunity to swim and play with a beautiful bottlenose dolphin. This 45-minute experience begins with a brief introduction about the dolphins and how trainers use hand signals and other means to communicate with these amazing creatures. Following this short informative talk, small groups of approximately 6-8 guests will begin their thrilling swim with the dolphins. Accompanied by a trainer, you will first wade into shallow water to become acquainted with your dolphin - through hugs, kisses and rubdowns. Then you'll take your new relationship one step further. You'll be able to swim and play with the dolphin in deeper water. In fact if things go really well you may even receive an exciting dorsal fin or belly ride.
At the Coral Reef you will be invited to put on a mask and snorkel for a very special adventure. You'll be able to swim through an underwater wonderland, where you'll see a stunning coral reef, giant stingrays, barracuda and scary looking sharks. The reef is simply teeming with thousands of other smaller tropical fish, as well as several shipwrecks and mysterious grottos. You can then swim down a tropical river, with its own dramatic waterfall and a freshwater lagoon.
Ray Lagoon is a secluded, tropical oasis which you'll find nestling at the heart of Discovery Cove Orlando. You can wade, swim, snorkel and touch these graceful, gentle creatures. You'll be able to enjoy the thrill of playing with literally dozens of southern and cownose rays - which grow up to 4-foot across. But don't worry they are very safe and feel soft and velvety to the touch.
In the special, 100-foot long, 'Free-Flight' Aviary you'll discover 30 species of tropical birds - which you can mingle with, talk to, touch and even feed! The Aviary spans both land and water, so you can enter it either through the Tropical River's magnificent waterfall or by walking in off the beach area
