Just a 7 hour flight from the UK, Dubai has something for everyone, and is becoming one of the most sought after destinations in the world. Take your pick of some superb championship golf courses including the world famous Emirates course home to the Dubai Classic, while enjoying some of the finest hospitality and levels of service you will find anywhere in the world.
Venue of the PGA-sanctioned European Tour event, the Dubai Desert Classic. The signature clubhouse at the Emirates Golf Club – modeled like Bedouin tents – remains the most eye-catching in the region, while the original 7,185 yard, par-72 Majlis course has been complemented for the past eight years by a second par-72 challenge, the 7,100-yard Wadi course. Both combine the natural rolling desert terrain for a serious test of golf. The Wadi is now closed until October 2006 for a major redevelopment. The course is being redesigned by Nick Faldo, who will take the course and all of the practice facilities at the club to a much higher level.
Although the Dubai Creek Golf & Yacht Club has hosted just two of the sixteen Dubai Desert Classics staged so far, the city-based club is also a popular venue for tourists and is a landmark in this bustling metropolis. Situated in the heart of the city on the shores of the creek, Dubai Creek Golf & Yacht Club has recently undergone a major redevelopment, transforming it into a true golfers’ paradise. The club’s 18-hole, par 71 course rolls 6,857 undulating yards along well-groomed fairways lined with date and coconut palms, attractive water hazards and shrubbery that lend a distinctly tropical air. The course boasts a new front nine, re-designed by Thomas Björn, providing an even greater challenge for residents and tourists alike. There is also a new nine-hole Par 3 course, a hi-tech studio, a floodlit driving range, and extensive short game practice facilities.

Nad Al Sheba Club is a 6,630-yard, par 71, 18-hole golf course, which famously provides a warm welcome to all visitors. Sharing the site with the world famous Nad Al Sheba Racecourse, home to The Dubai World Cup (the world’s richest horse race), the front nine of the golf course meanders around the outside of the racecourse and the challenging back nine is laid out inside the racecourse perimeter. The accurate golfer is rewarded with lush, rolling fairways and gently undulating greens, but wayward golfers may need to watch out for the nine course lakes and deep pot bunkers. Moreover, the course presents an additional experience for golfers under floodlights and the cool, Arabian night sky. Nad Al Sheba Club was the first fully floodlit 18-hole course in the Middle East region, and golf can be enjoyed until midnight, every night of the year.
Other courses include the Al Badia Golf Resort, The Montgomerie, Arabian Ranches Golf Club, Jebel Ali Golf Resort & Spa, Abu Dhabi Golf Club, and the Tower Links Golf Club.
